Warped Would

There was a phrase I heard a while ago that went something like, if you’re not well adjusted to this world then maybe that means you’re still sane. This began as an investigation into structural armatures for other works but I knew I would have to add curvature and smooth transitions since I was beginning to construct the human figure. Each dowel was sharpened at one end, moistened so they could be curved, and all attached at their base with hot glue. The title comes from the warped dowels but also having to think about changing an object rather than just using it in it’s store-bought form to create something new. Or, “warping” the way I approach three-dimensional objects so projects like this “would” come together.
