Born to a military family in Wichita Falls, Texas, Zachary A. Edison has lived in multiple states throughout the Southeastern United States, also Germany, and is currently based in Birmingham, Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Art Studio and Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2016 and 2017 respectively. Zachary is the Lead Preparator for the Birmingham Museum of Art and
a member of Birmingham’s non-profit printmaking co-op PaperWorkers Local and has been with both institutions
since 2017 and a member of the International Association of Visual Artists (IAVA) since 2019. He is also PaperWorkers’ exhibition installer and social media operator. Edison’s works, ranging in drawings, paintings, intaglio prints, and sculptures, have been included in numerous exhibitions throughout the United States as well as online exhibitions and are part of various private collections.
