One of the first iterations of the “demon” concept. The title is a reference to a person’s vices or past indiscretions being contained or internally reconciled. The work is a representation of the turning point in an individual’s life where he or she can move on from being held back by regret. The drops in the water represent the purge of a person’s overwhelming remorse or depression while the single EKG wave represents the slowing heartrate of these demons as they’re left “to die.” The glow from the EKG wave shines along the water’s surface and on the figure’s face as a reminder that while an individual shouldn’t be constrained by their past mistakes, they should also take these moments as lessons.
