A classic case of “don’t judge a book by it’s cover.” This is one of my first attempts at building three-dimensional paper Mache forms before switching to wheat paste and tracing paper. The use of materials and color choices are very obvious in their message. The work is a representation of individuals who’ve had to develop a thick skin resulting in their tendency to keep others at bay while still kind and compassionate on the inside.
